The price of a man's shirt went from $15 to $20. What was the percent of increase of the price of the shirt? A. 25% A. , 25%, B.
dexar [7]

Answer: 33 1/3%

Step-by-step explanation:

Percentage increase of the shirt will be calculated as:

= Price Increase / Old price × 100%

Price Increase = $20 - $15 = $5

Old price = $15

Percent increase = Price Increase / Old price × 100%

= 5/15 × 100

= 1/3 × 100

= 33 1/3%

The green river freeway has a minimum and maximum speed limit, tony drove for 2 hours at the minimum speed limit and 3.5 hours a
Vinil7 [7]
From the beginning we know we are dealing with two different rates. Distance is equal to (Speed X Time). We have two different speeds though. We will call the min speed = x and the max speed = y.  With those two ideas in place we can make two equations for both Tony and Rae.
Tony:
2x+3.5y=355
Rae:
2x+3y=320
Now you can solve the equations by subtracting Rae's equation from Tony's

.5y=35 solve for y and you get 70
Now plug that y value back into either equation and you can solve for x. I'll use Rae's distance:
2x+3(70)=320
x=55

Answer:

The equation of the line will be:

  • y = 0

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the points

  • (0, 0)
  • (3, 0)

Finding the slope

\mathrm{Slope}=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}

\left(x_1,\:y_1\right)=\left(0,\:0\right),\:\left(x_2,\:y_2\right)=\left(3,\:0\right)

m=\frac{0-0}{3-0}

m=0

We know that the value of y-intercept can be obtained by setting x=0, and solving for y

Here,

at x = 0, the value of y = 0

Thus,

y-intercept = b = 0

We know the slope-intercept form of the line equation is

y=mx+b

where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept

now substituting m = 0 and b = 0 in the slope-intercept form

y = mx+b

y = 0(x) + (0)

y = 0+0

y = 0

Therefore, the equation of line will be:

  • y = 0
