The Ottoman Empire was founded by Osman I in 1299 and it began to decline in 1600 and completely dissolved in 1923.

The founder of the ottoman empire was Osman I in the year 1299 who was the leader of the Turkish tribe. The empire was ruled in the areas of the middle east and Eastern Europe for about 600 years.

The Timeline of the Ottoman Empire is as follows:-

  1. 1299 - Ottoman Empire was established.
  2. 1389 - Attacked Serbia.
  3. 1453 - The Byzantine Empire is overthrown.
  4. 1517 - Conquered Egypt.
  5. 1520 - Suleiman the Magnificent becomes ruler.
  6. 1529 - The Vienna Siege.
  7. 1533 -  conquer Iraq.
  8. 1683 - The Battle of Vienna results in the Ottomans' defeat. This marks the start of the empire's decline.
  9. 1699 - Austria gains control of Hungary from the Ottomans.
  10. 1718 - Tulip period began.
  11. 1914 - In World War I, the Ottoman Empire joins the Central Powers.
  12. 1923 -The Republic of Turkey is established as a nation after the dissolution of the Ottoman Empire.

Suleiman the Magnificent ruled during the Ottoman Empire's height. From 1520 to 1566, he was in power. This period saw the empire grow and encompass a large portion of Eastern Europe, including Greece and Hungary.

Constantinople, the seat of the Byzantine Empire, was taken by Mehmet II the Conqueror and the Ottoman Empire in 1453. He renamed Constantinople Istanbul and made it the imperial capital of the Ottoman Empire.

The Ottoman Empire would remain one of the biggest and most powerful empires in the world for the following several hundred years.

This really depends on your beliefs in if gender discrimination is as big of a deal as racial discrimination. The 14th amendment is the Equal Protection Clause, it was mainly for the slaves that had been freed in the U.S after the civil war. It basically forbids the states to restrict basic rights of citizens without going through the process of law or being protected by the law. But has recently been used in cases to of gender discrimination.

I believe it is perfectly justified for the 14th amendment to be acted in cases of gender discrimination. The 14th amendment does not have to be dedicated completely to race, but can have multiple purposes and be dedicated to gender discrimination as well. Because the 14th amendment does not mention race in its context, but mentions that basic rights shall not be stripped from citizens.
