This data, however, shows that players' average financial losses contribute to a decline in league income, which is defined as revenue earned by all league clubs. The effects of pay limitations on players, supporters, and teams depend on a wide range of factors. Salary limitations in professional sports leagues enable smaller markets compete with larger ones, increasing the likelihood of success for all clubs.
