Lina's right. Josh didn't fully finish factoring (his 9 could've still been factored).

Lina and Josh are both trying to find the prime factorization of the number 126. But, Lina's solution is correct because her solution expresses 126 as the product of prime factors.

We can tell that they are trying to factor because of the method that they are using, a factor tree.

When multiplying each of their solutions, to figure out if they make 126, they both do, which shows that they both did something right. But, when looking at Josh's answer, we can see that the number 9 is still there. Since the number 9 can be further factored into 3 * 3, we can see that Lina's solution is correct.

A ball is dropped from a height of 25feet and allowed to bounce until it comes to a rest. Each time the ball bounces it rebounds
alina1380 [7]

Answer:

H3 = 25 * \frac{4}{5} * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Initial\ Height =25

Rebound = \frac{4}{5}

Required

Determine the height at the third rebound

At first rebound;

H1 = 25 * \frac{4}{5}

Second rebound

H2 = 25 * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Third rebound

H3 = 25 * \frac{4}{5} * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Hence; the equation is:

H3 = 25 * \frac{4}{5} * \frac{4}{5}* \frac{4}{5}

Solving further;

H3 = 12.8\ ft

Vickie conducts a survey of home builders to determine the average cost of building a new home. She samples 10 home builders who
Bas_tet [7]
The reasons that the sample is representative:
The builders were chosen at random
The population included only builders who build in Vicki's town

Vickie wanted to determine the cost of building a house in her home, so the fact that the builders were from her town makes the sample more representative. Moreover, the random choosing of the builders helps to remove any biases that may be present.
