Just like the activists of the Civil Rights motion, their cause became entire racial equality. The primary difference between the 2 movements turn out to be that supporters of Black power have been organized to apply violent techniques to acquire these desires.

The 1965 assassination of Malcolm X, coupled with the urban riots of 1964 and 1965, ignited the motion. New corporations that supported Black energy philosophies ranging from the adoption of socialism by using certain sects of the movement to black nationalism, which includes the Black Panther birthday party (BPP), grew to prominence.
