Vaccines are fundamental in preventing and avoiding the spreading of diseases by boosting the immune system against pathogenic microorganisms and viruses.

<h3>What is a vaccine?</h3>

A vaccine is any formulation administered to the body with the aim of boosting the immune system again infections.

Vaccines may consist of nucleic acids (DNA or RNA) or proteins present in the pathogen in order to create immunologic memory by means of antibodies.

These antibodies are able to bind antigens in the pathogens and thus trigger a concomitant immune response.

In conclusion, vaccines can prevent diseases by boosting the immune system.
