Answer:

- The value of both expressions when t = 3 is 30

- The value of both expressions when t = 7 is 54

- The expressions are equivalent

Step-by-step explanation:

Plug in each value of t into the expressions:

6t + 12, when t = 3 equals 30

6t + 12, when t = 7 equals 54

6(t + 2), when t = 3 equals 30

6(t + 2), when t = 7 equals 54

We have the same answers for both expressions, meaning they are equivalent.

Answer: 3rd, 4th, and 5th are correct.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that the equation 6(t+2) can be simplified to 6*t+6*2, also 6t+12. This causes any statements saying a variable with a certain value applies to one side also applies to the other.

Three salesmen work for the same company, selling the same product. And, although they are all paid on a weekly basis, each sale
Katarina [22]

Answer:

12 sales

Step-by-step explanation:

Let x represent the number of sales each man had.

For Salesman A, he earns $65 per sale; this is 65x.

For Salesman B, he earns $40 per sale; this is 40x.  We also add to this his weekly salary of $300; this gives us 40x+300.

Since their pay was equal, set the two expressions equal:

65x = 40x+300

Subtract 40x from each side:

65x-40x = 40x+300-40x

25x = 300

Divide both sides by 25:

25x/25 = 300/25

x = 12

This graph shows a proportional relationship.
Kamila [148]

Answer:

The constant of proportionality is 0.3, or K=0.3.

Step-by-step explanation:
The chart I attached shows points that are plotted on the proportional line. In order to find the constant of proportionality from these points, you have to divide the amount of change by the number of years. For example, 3 divided by 10 or 6 divided by 20. This results in 0.3, which means that every year, there is 0.3 centimeters of change in the sea level.

I need help ASAP on number 8 b and c. Thank you
s344n2d4d5 [400]
I think you're having trouble because the equation you wrote for 8a has a slight typo.

The question says that the length is 9 less than twice the width. Your equation states the length is 9 times the width minus 2. So the length actually equals 2w – 9, meaning that w(2w – 9) = 180

Hope this helps! If you're still having trouble, let me know :)
