The beliefs and objectives of the Federalist party were related to centralization and governmental protectionism for economic growth.

The Democratic Republicans, on the other hand, had republicanism and equality as their objectives, defending liberal policy.

Founded by Thomas Jefferson and James Madson in 1790, it was the first opposition party in the United States, with ideals based on the French Revolution, the party was based on anti-monarchism, with criticism of the Federalists and their aristocratic ideals.

The Federalist party founded by Alexander Hamilton, on the other hand, had as its main beliefs the support of a centralized national government and strengthened through the Constitution, with a focus on the market economy.

Therefore, the Democratic Republican Party was created in opposition to the Federalist Party, with ideals of social and economic equality.
