Explanation:

This is asking to pose the same question in two other ways. In total there are 3 ways to pose a question:

  • Changing Intonation: You write the sentence you want to turn into a question and put a question mark at the end (When spoken, a different tone is used in the end to make the listener know it's a question)
  • Est-ce que: You write "Est-ce que" at the beginning of the sentence to turn into a question (or "Est-ce qu'" if the next work begins with a vowel or silent h)
  • Inversion: You put the verb before the subject pronoun and attach them with a hyphen (-). However, if the verb ends in a vowel, then a t must be put in between both (Ex. a-t-il, mange-t-elle).

1.

a) Est-ce que tu es prête? (Adding "Est-ce que")

b) Es-tu prête? (Inversion of verb and subject pronoun)

2.

a) Est-ce que vous pouvez vous taire? (Adding "Est-ce que")

b) Pouvez-vous vous taire? (Inversion of verb and subject pronoun)

3.

a) Est-ce que nous faisons la dicteé maintenant? (Adding "Est-ce que")

b) Faisons-nous la dicteé maintenant? (Inversion of verb and subject pronoun)

4.

a) Est-ce que tu aimes la poésie? (Adding "Est-ce que")

b) Aimes-tu la poésie? (Inversion of verb and subject pronoun)

DIA [1.3K]

Answer:

"au revoir"

Explanation:

Say "au revoir" in any setting.

This is the standard French translation of the English “goodbye,” and it can be used in both casual and formal settings, with strangers and friends alike. When said as a phrase, au revoir is usually translated directly to "goodbye."
