The equations of the transformed graphs are y = \tan(\frac{\pi}{4}x) + 3 and y = -\frac34\sin(2x)

<h3>How to transform the functions?</h3>

<u>The tangent function</u>

The parent function is:

y = Atan(Bx) + k

It has a period of 4.

So, we have:

\frac{\pi}{B} = 4

Make B the subject

B = \frac{\pi}{4}

It is shifted vertically up by 3 units.

So, we have:

k = 3

Substitute these values in y = Atan(Bx) + k and remove A

y = \tan(\frac{\pi}{4}x) + 3

Hence, the equation of the transformed graph is y = \tan(\frac{\pi}{4}x) + 3

<u>The sine function</u>

The parent function is:

y = Asin(Bx) + k

It has a period of \pi

So, we have:

\frac{2\pi}{B} = \pi

Make B the subject

B = 2

It has an amplitude of 3/4

So, we have:

A = 3/4

It is flipped across the x-axis

So, we have:

A = -3/4

Substitute these values in y = Asin(Bx) + k and remove k

y = -\frac34\sin(2x)

Hence, the equation of the transformed graph is y = -\frac34\sin(2x)

Please help! I must match the numbers on the left with all appropriate number sets on the right . A number on the left may match
Flura [38]

Answer:

\sqrt{5} = Irrational

6 = Natural, Whole, Integer, Rational

\frac{1}{2} = Rational

-2 = Integers, Rational

Explanation:

See attached photo! (it is hard to explain in words haha)

      Side note: All natural numbers are rational numbers, but not all rational numbers are natural numbers (this applies differently to all sections, like all integers are whole, but not all whole are integers, etc)

      Side note #2: Whole numbers are just natural numbers AND zero

Hope this is correct (or at least helps), have a nice day! :D

Nine cards are numbered from 1 to 9 and placed in a box. One card is selected at random and not replaced. Another card is random
irakobra [83]

Answer: 1/6

Step-by-step explanation: There are 4 primes. So the probability for the first draw is 4/9. Since the card is not replaced, the second probability is 3/8. 3/8 * 4/9 is 12/72, which simplifies into 1/6.
