The area of a <em>rectangle</em> is given by its <u>length</u> multiplied by its <u>width</u>. So that the <em>expression</em> that represents the area of the <u>rectangle</u> in the given question is  \frac{3}{2} x^{2} squared unit.

A <u>rectangle</u> is a figure that has four straight sides, in which <em>opposite</em> sides are equal.

The area of a <em>rectangle</em> can be determined by the <u>expression</u>;

Area = length x width

Thus considering the given question, the <u>length</u> of the <em>rectangle</em> is tribble to that of the square. And the <u>width</u> of the <em>rectangle</em> is half of that of the square.

So that;

length = 3x

width = \frac{x}{2}

Thus,

Area = length x width

        = 3x (\frac{x}{2})

        = \frac{3}{2} x^{2}

Therefore, the area of the <u>rectangle</u> is  \frac{3}{2} x^{2} squared unit.

Allisa [31]

Answer:

3/8

Step-by-step explanation:

first year's work is 1/6

second year's work is 1/8

third year's work is 1/12

combining all 3 gives us

1/6 + 1/8 + 1/12

which simplifies to 3/8

Find m+n.
Alik [6]
Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

it's difficult because you are looking too hard. think simply. why does it tell you that angle is 40°?

Because if you follow the arrow back to where it starts you will see that exact same angle.

so now you know 1 (not m° or n°) angle inside the triangle is 40° and a complete triangle is 180°.

you also know a straight line has 180° on each side. and the line going from m° to n° splits that in half. meaning there is 90° to the right of it and 90° to the left of it. which means n° must equal 90°.

now you know you have 1 angle inside the triangle with 40° and n°=90° now you just need to find how much m° is.

add 40°+90° then Subtract from 180° to get m°.

180°-130°=50°
m°=50°

A researcher receives 106 containers of oxygen. Of those containers, twenty of them have oxygen that is not ionized and the rest
9966 [12]

Answer:

0.1905 = 19.05%

Step-by-step explanation:

We have a total of 106 containers of oxygen, from which:

20 have oxygen not ionized, 86 have oxygen ionized.

If the first one selected is ionized, now we have 20 not ionized and 85 ionized.

So the probability of the second one selected being not ionized is the number of not ionized (20) over the total number of containers (20 + 85):

P = 20 / (20 + 85) = 0.1905 = 19.05%
