The correct answer is A) abolishing slavery in Mexico and restricting immigration from the U.S.

The actions by the Mexican government that increased tensions between it and American colonists living in Texas were abolishing slavery in Mexico and restricting immigration from the U.S.

When the Mexican Army defeated the Spanish Army and Mexico gained independence from Spain, the New Spain territories became part of  México, Texas included. So in 1821, the Mexican government allowed Stephen F. Autin -a man that sympathized with the Mexican givernmemt- to take people to the Texas territory to settle in. Many blacks and former slaves started ton inhabit the Texas territory. It was in 1829 that the Mexican government prohibited slavery in the country, but granted Texas one more year to abolish it. These e actions by the Mexican government increased tensions between it and American colonists living in Texas. People from Texas did not like the idea that Mexico restricted immigration from the U.S. and prohibited slavery.
