He speaks with affection calling her "my little spendthrift." He's not telling her to take everything she bought back. He's just making a comment. He did speak a little sharply at the beginning of his line, so if you think that's about obedience and control, go with it.

I don't know which one of the 2 to pick. There are too many things going on to really pick if you are going to bring the rest of the play into it. There's blackmail, a betrayal of trust, a woman fed up with her circumstances. It's all very complex.
