You could say that most American Indian students wouldn't get the same equal treatment as white students, and might be treated differently from the other students. I don't know what you mean by "one of these schools" but I'm guessing it was back then during a time of minority rights movements. I would just stress on the fact that they were denied a lot more rights and not treated equally.
