Chelicerata subphylum of arthropod is comprised of the most diverse and ecologically important group of animals on Earth.
<h3>What are Chelicerata?</h3>
One of the main divisions of the phylum Arthropoda is the subphylum Chelicerata.
It also includes a number of extinct lineages, including the eurypterids (sea scorpions) and chasmataspidids, as well as sea spiders, horseshoe crabs, and arachnids (including harvestmen, scorpions, spiders, solifuges, ticks, and mites, among many others).
Chelicerates are arthropods, which means they have segmented bodies with jointed limbs and a cuticle comprised of chitin and proteins covering everything.
The prosoma and the opisthosoma are the two tagmata that make up the chelicerate body plan, but mites no longer have a distinct line between them.
Entasis is a design principle in architecture where in a convex curve was applied to a surface which also serves a strength to the construction and it also gives an optical illusion to it. Egyptian pyramids use this design principle.
