Jaxon is starting a new exercise routine. He asks his very fit friend for some advice to avoid injury , the best advice for him to follow is that, warm up before start the exercise and at the end of an activity, lower your heart rate before stopping.

When exercising, the general rule of thumb is to judge how challenging the exercise feels, Two indicators that you are pushing yourself too hard are your breathing pattern and heart rate. To avoid injury one should exercise according to heart rate.

Getting your blood circulating and warming up your muscles before exercise will help you stay injury-free. Exercise slowly for the first few minutes, then ramp up the tempo is the simplest technique to warm up. For instance, walk quickly for 5 to 10 minutes before jogging.
