Solve for x. Write both solutions, separated by a comma. 8x^2-2x-15=0
iVinArrow [24]

Answer:

x₁ = -5/4 (-1.25)

x₂ = 3/2 (1.5)

Explanation:

8x² - 2x - 15 = 0

8x² + 10x - 12x - 15 = 0

2xx(4x + 5) - 12x - 15 = 0

2xx (4x + 5) - 3(4x + 5) = 0

(4x + 5) × (2x - 3) = 0

4x + 5 = 0 → x = -5/4 (-1.25)

2x - 3 = 0 → x = 3/2 (1.5)

Hope this helps! :)
