The Haymarket Riot (also known as the “Haymarket Incident” and “Haymarket Affair”) occurred on May 4, 1886, when a labor protest rally near Chicago’s Haymarket Square turned into a riot after someone threw a bomb at police.

At least eight people died as a result of the violence that day. Despite a lack of evidence against them, eight radical labor activists were convicted in connection with the bombing.

The Haymarket Riot was viewed as a setback for the organized labor movement in America, which was fighting for rights like the eight-hour workday. At the same time, many in the labor movement viewed the convicted men as martyrs.

Me responden estas preguntas (urgente) O///O (a)cuales crees que fueron las actividades o responsabilidades de un joven a tu eda
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

Which president promoted a political program called new nationalism that included conservation and national parks
bonufazy [111]

____________________________________________________

Answer:

Your answer would be Theodore Roosevelt.

____________________________________________________

The president that promoted a political program called new nationalism that included conservation and national parks was Theodore Roosevelt.

____________________________________________________

Definitions:

New Nationalism: The progressive political platform that was made by Theodore Roosevelt during the election of 1912.

National Parks: A significant historical area protected by the federal government for entertainment for the public, and preservation of the wildlife.

____________________________________________________

Explanation:

The reason why Theodore Roosevelt would be your answer is because he is the one that made the political program called "new nationalism." The reason why he made this political program was because he wanted to increase the welfare of the people that were less fortunate. Also, he wanted to have more social justice in the country because not everyone had a fair chance of social justice, and he wanted to fix that for them.

To increase welfare for the people that were less fortunate, he made national parks. The national parks gave a chance for people to enjoy a beautiful place and get their minds off of the bad things, and this caused the welfare of people to rise. National parks made people happier, and that's was Roosevelt was trying to accomplish. He also wanted to make sure that the U.S doesn't waste any valuable resources since the U.S was loosing a lot of resources that were very valuable and could help in the long run. Since he became president, he focused on saving important resources in the United States, and conserving those resources made the U.S economy better.

What was the objective of the House Un-American Activities Committee?
Mice21 [21]

Answer:

The objective of the House Un-American Activities Committee was to remove communists from the United States government.

Explanation:

The House Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) was a committee set up by the House of Representatives from 1938 to 1975. The committee's work initially focused on investigating Americans of German descent and their possible involvement in Nazi activities and the Ku Klux Klan, but increasingly focused on mapping alleged communist infiltration into various US organizations.

In the mid-1940s, many famous people were persecuted, for example, Charlie Chaplin, Bertold Brecht, Paul Robson and others. In 1947, the commission began the persecution of Hollywood figures. A number of filmmakers were sent out summons demanding to attend public hearings, many of them were included in the "black list".
