Explain how the concept of "parity" was designed to solve the farm problem. What happened to parity legislation?
Alik [6]
The parity legislation basically sought to restore the terms of trade that was enjoyed by farmers beginning In the 1920s. This legislation was used by farmers to justify the prices of their agricultural produce. They compared this argument with the belief that farming needs to remain as profitable compared between the years of 1909 and 1914.

Why did many of john f. kennedy's promised reforms in health insurance for the aged, antipoverty, taxation, and civil rights not
pantera1 [17]

John F. Kennedy's promised reforms in health insurance for the aged, antipoverty, taxation, and civil rights did not come to fruition due to Conservatives in the Senate blocking many of these reformist measures.

What is Senate?

 • The House of Representatives is the lower body of the United States Congress, and the United States Senate is its upper chamber. The United States national bicameral legislature is made up of them all.
 • Article One of the United States Constitution specifies the makeup and authority of the Senate.
 • The Senate is made up of senators, who each fully represent a single state.
 • The two senators that represent each state equally have staggered six-year mandates.
 • The 50 states are currently represented by 100 senators. By virtue of holding that position, the vice president of the United States presides over Senate proceedings and serves as its president. He or she can cast a vote, but only if senators are evenly divided.

How did Americans disagree over the role of federal and state governments before and during the civil war ?
MAXImum [283]
From what I can remember, states' rights was a large factor contributing to the Civil War. With Lincoln becoming president and representing the North, the Southern states seceded, leading to a war. The state governments of the South argued that since the Constitution and the federal government was created by the states, the federal government had no right to stop states from seceding. President Lincoln and other northerners disagreed and wanted to preserve the Union by stopping states from seceding.
After the war, I believe the South still disagreed on a strong federal government. They wanted to rule the area by themselves.
