For lactic acid fermentation, the correct options are:

 • pyruvate
 • hydrogen
 • NADH
 • lactic acid
 • Lactic acid
 • pyruvate
 • mitochondria

For ethanol fermentation, the correct options are:

 • pyruvate
 • CO₂
 • acetyl CoA
 • acetyl CoA
 • acetaldehyde
 • Acetaldehyde
 • hydrogen
 • NADH
 • ethanol

What is a anaerobic respiration?

Anaerobic respiration is respiration which occurs in the absence of oxygen.

Oxygen is used as an electron acceptor during respiration. However, when oxygen is absent or insufficient, other molecules are used as electron acceptors in order to produce energy.

Anaerobic respiration in large organisms may result in the formation of lactate known as lactic acid fermentation.

In lactic acid fermentation, after glycolysis, the two pyruvate molecules receive hydrogen atoms from NADH creating lactic acid. Lactic acid can be converted back into pyruvate in the liver. The pyruvate can then enter into the mitochondria and cellular respiration, can proceed.

On the other hand, anaerobic respiration in microorganisms produce ethanol and is known as ethanol fermentation.

After glycolysis, the two pyruvate molecules lose a CO₂ atom, creating acetyl CoA. The acetyl CoA atom combines with hydrogen to form acetaldehyde. Acetaldehyde receives a hydrogen atom from NADH, resulting in the production of ethanol.

In conclusion, anaerobic respiration can occur either as a lactate fermentation or ethanol fermentation.

Axons insulated by a(n) _____ are able to conduct impulses faster that those not so insulated.
Mumz [18]

Answer:

Much like the insulation around the wires in electrical systems, glial cells form a membraneous sheath surrounding axons called myelin, thereby insulating the axon. This myelination, as it is called, can greatly increase the speed of signals transmitted between neurons (known as action potentials).

The first step in the perceptual process is called _____ and refers to the process of bringing some stimulus within the proximit
Sonbull [250]
The answer is exposure. To simplify, the first step in the perceptual process is called exposure and refers to the method of transporting some stimulus in the closeness of a consumer so that it can be detected by one of the five human senses. In addition, the perceptual process is an order of steps that starts with stimuli in the surroundings and ends with an understanding of those stimuli. This procedure is naturally unconscious and occurs hundreds of thousands of times a day. An unconscious procedure is just one that occurs in deprived of consciousness or objective.

How do we inherit traits from our parents
Masteriza [31]

Answer: Through genes

Explanation:

When a baby is made the parents both pass on traits (genes) to the baby through DNA. The traits that the baby takes are determined by dominant and recessive traits.

Example: If both parents have brown eyes which is a dominant trait the baby will have brown eyes.
