Hello,

We have s0 = 1 and q = -2/3

S _{n} = S _{0} \times q {}^{n}  = 1 \times ( -  \frac{2}{3} ) {}^{n}

S _{8} = ( -  \frac{2}{3} ) {}^{8}  =   \frac{2 {}^{8} }{3 {}^{8} }  =  \frac{256}{6 561}

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

The sum of an alternating geometric series SUM((-1)^n*ar^n) = a/(1+r). The given series has r=2/3 and a=1. The sum will be 1/(1+2/3)= 3/5

Draw two identical rectangle. Shade 1 seventh of one rectangle and 1 tenth of the other. Lavel the unit fractions. Use you recta
Bumek [7]

Answer:

1/7 is greater than 1/10 using coordinates and its area of the division concept.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have to draw two identical rectangles and have to shade them.

Here is the diagram attached with.<em> (With some approximation)</em>

We can see that \frac{1}{7} > \frac{1}{10} .

Rectangles are identical.

When we look upon \frac{1}{10} it can be observed that each division on the coordinate plane have 2 boxes only...

Where as \frac{1}{7} fraction consists more than 2 boxes ..

So we can say that the area covered for each division in \frac{1}{7} is more than that of \frac{1}{10} .

Mathematical concept:

If the numerator are same then to compare fractions we look upon denominators values.

Greater the denominator lesser is the fraction values.

So,

Finally we can say that 1/7 is greater than 1/10 .

Please help me out!!!!!!!! :)
Alika [10]

Answer:

First we have to calculate z

z + 69° = 180°

z           = 180° - 69° = 111°

Now that we have 2 out of 3 angle already, we can easily calculate x which is the measurement of the third angle we are looking for:

23° + 111° + x = 180°

                  x = 180° - 23° - 111°

                  x = 46°
