Lungs and limbs are the adaptations which originated in some fishes and enabled vertebrates to thrive on land and is therefore denoted as option B.

<h3>What is a Vertebrate?</h3>

This refers to organisms which possess backbones while on the other hand invertebrates are characterized by the absence of the backbone.

The presence of limbs enabled organisms to move freely in search of food and other functions on land. The presence of lungs enables appropriate respiration on land for the survival of these organisms.

This is therefore the reason why land and limbs were chosen as the most appropriate choice.

The options include the following:

a. Limbs

b. Lungs and limbs

c. Lungs

d. Fins

e. Lungs and fins

What are the effects of fishing on the reef ecosystem
Lemur [1.5K]

Answer:

Coral reef fish are a significant food source for over a billion people worldwide. Many coastal and island communities depend on coral reef fisheries for their economic, social, and cultural benefits. But too much of a good thing can be bad for coral reefs. Download this infographic | Infographic Text

Coral reef ecosystems support important commercial, recreational, and subsistence fishery resources in the U.S and its territories. Fishing also plays a central social and cultural role in many island and coastal communities, where it is often a critical source of food and income.

The impacts from unsustainable fishing on coral reef areas can lead to the depletion of key reef species in many locations. Such losses often have a ripple effect, not just on the coral reef ecosystems themselves, but also on the local economies that depend on them. Additionally, certain types of fishing gear can inflict serious physical damage to coral reefs, seagrass beds, and other important marine habitats.

Coral reef fisheries, though often relatively small in scale, may have disproportionately large impacts on the ecosystem if conducted unsustainably. Rapid human population growth, increased demand, use of more efficient fishery technologies, and inadequate management and enforcement have led to the depletion of key reef species and habitat damage in many locations.

A 15 year-old has been taken to surgery for crushing his index and middle fingers and injuring his digital nerves. the provider
Tanzania [10]
The cpt code would be 64831, 64832. The explanation behind this is 64831 is the right code to account the digital nerve was repaired. 64832 is the accurate secondary code since there was an added digital nerve that is necessary for repair. 51 is not joined to the secondary code since this code is an extra code and add-on codes are modifier 51 discharged.

its been a while since I've done punnett squares, but I'm pretty sure these are right:

  1. 2 because two have a dominant curly gene
  2. 2 because two are double recessive
  3. 0 because none have double dominant
  4. 2 because two have a double recessive

BTW I didnt check if you're punnett squares were right so the above is assuming they are

50 POINTS How does biodiversity help ecosystems survive disease, predation, and invasion?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]

Biodiversity ensures that there is a wide range genetic variations in certain species and many different species in an ecosystem. If an epidemic breaks out in a ecosystem if one species has some organisms that are immune to that disease they will survive and pass on the gene that makes them immune. If one species completely dies out in that ecosystem another species may be able to take over its role in the ecosystem so the whole ecosystem does not die out. If a certain species has a characteristic that helps them blend in with their environment and protects them from their predators those members of the species will survive and pass on their genes to later members of their species. If a invasive species is introduced it would be helpful if their was an animal in that ecosystem that could help regulate the invasive species population however what is most likely to happen is that due to the high stability of the ecosystem due to a high biodiversity the ecosystem will have a better chance of surviving because their will be different sources of food in the environment so the invasive species and the native species wouldn't have to compete too much for food.
