The over mountain men were known as loyalists in the Revolutionary War against Britain. These loyalists stayed loyal to Britain and their ruling and wound up losing to the Patriots (colonists seeking independence from Britain) in the Battle of Kings Mountain. The Patriots later went on to beat the British in the Battle of Yorktown, officially declaring their independence from Britain. If you need help, let me know and I will gladly assist you.
