Based on the given table;

A is a basic solution; addition of HClO₄ makes pH lower.

B is a neutral solution; addition of KI make pH stay same.

C is an basic solution; addition of NaClO₄ makes pH stay same.

D is a neutral solution; addition of KOH makes pH higher.

What changes occur in the pH of the solutions?

The pH of a solution is a measure of the acidity or alkalinity of the solution.

Solutions of pH less than 7 are acidic solutions whereas solutions of pH greater than 7 are basic solutions. Solutions of pH 7 are neutral solutions.

Addition of acids to an acid solution, will decrease the pH, while addition of a base will increase the pH.

Conversely, addition of a base to an basic solution will increase its pH whereas, addition of an acid will decrease the pH of the solution.

Based on the given table;

A is initially a solution; addition of HClO₄, an acid will make pH lower.

B is a neutral solution, addition of a neutral salt such as KI will make pH stay same.

C is an basic solution. When NaClO₄ is added, pH will be same.

D is neutral. Add KOH, and pH will be higher.

In conclusion, pH of a solution is affected by addition of acids, salts or bases.

What strategies can be implemented to combat and defeat gender stereotyping?
valkas [14]

Answer:

Stereotypes often serve as shortcuts for forming impressions of people and guide our decisions, without people being completely aware of it. Gender preconceptions have important consequences for the workplace.

Explanation:

Whenever women are working with men on male gender-typed tasks, men are more likely to be credited for joint successes and women are more likely to be blamed for joint failures. These negative performance expectations can only be overturned when the woman’s individual contribution is unquestionable, or her task competence is very high.

What do you view as important issues within healthcare
delivery?
spin [16.1K]

Answer:

The answer to the question: What do you view as important issues within healthcare delivery, would be: the availability of more and better resources to ensure that all patients are treated with efficiency and effectiveness, depending on their individual needs, and the possibility to have more, and better-prepared office staff, like secretaries and receptionists, so that healthcare providers can focus entirely on patient care, and not on the mountains of paperwork, phone calls and documentation that insurance companies require to authorize a simple procedure that would improve a patient´s life.

Explanation:

Although there are a lot more issues that need to be addressed regarding patient care delivery, these two have proven to become real obstacles. First, although some hospitals and clinics are blessed with resources, this is not always the case, especially for public hospitals. The result of this is that patients at public hospitals are not always given the best care that could be given to them due to lack of resources and this lowers the efficiency of healthcare. The second issue is that healthcare professionals are becoming encumbered more and more with the amount of paperwork and documentation that is demanded by insurance companies simply to authorize the payment of a procedure. This also limits the effectiveness of treatment, as healthcare professionals do not have access to all the resources that are available to ensure the best treatment. This is why, to me, these two are some of the most important issues to face right now.
