The tunica media is composed of an endothelial layer that is continuous with the endocardium of the heart.

What is tunica media?

Collagen, elastin, and smooth muscle cells make up tunica media. It is located halfway between the tunica externa and the tunica intima. The transverse arrangement of its strands and color make the middle coat (tunica medium) distinct from the inner (tunica intima). It not only supports the vessel but also alters the vessel's width to control blood pressure and flow.

Elastic fibers make up the majority of the tunica media in bigger vessels. The number of elastic fibers reduces as arteries get smaller, whereas the number of smooth muscle fibers grows. The strongest of the three layers is the tunica adventitia, which is the top layer. Elastic and collagenous fibers make up its structure.

The cells of the macula densa and the juxtaglomerular cells form the?
Finger [1]

Answer:

E. juxtaglomerular complex

Explanation:

Macula densa cells are the columnar tubule cells. They are present in the wall of afferent arterioles. The modified fibers of smooth muscles present in the lining of the afferent arteriole are called juxtaglomerular cells.

The juxtaglomerular cells and macula densa cells together make the juxtaglomerular apparatus, also called juxtaglomerular complex. The function of the juxtaglomerular apparatus is to maintain the blood pressure of kidneys.

Pku (phenylketonuria) is an autosomal recessive disease, in which the synthesis of amino acid tyrosine from phenylalanine is blo
dexar [7]
The answer is c. 0.42.

If:
p - the frequency of dominant allele P,
q - the frequency of recessive allele p,

the frequencies of the genotypes are:
p² - for PP genotype (dominant homozygote without the disease),
2pq - for Pp genotype (heterozygote for disease),
q² - for pp genotype (recessive homozygote with the disease).

It is given:
p = 0.3
2pq = ?

Since p + q = 1     ⇒     q = 1 - p
q = 1 - 0.3 = 0.7

Knowing p and q, we can calculate the frequency of people heterozygous for this disease (2pq):
2pq = 2 · 0.3 · 0.7 = 0.42

Therefore, the frequency of people heterozygous for this disease is 0.42
