The 1920s were a decade of contradictions because of the economic development that led to an increase in cultural diversity and immigration in the country.

The rise of the Second Ku Klux Klan can be understood about the structural racism rooted in American society, which did not accept the social diversity that occurred in response to American urbanism and prosperity.

What is structural racism?

It is a process of racism and discrimination that can be analyzed in a historical context in a country, such as the blacks who were brought from Africa to be enslaved in colonial America, in a past of violence and suffering that were inserted as legal in the structures social.

Therefore, racism must be actively fought, because despite being illegal, it is still rooted in society through prejudice, low wages and fewer opportunities for the black population in relation to whites.

Why is it difficult for congress people to “make change”?
pochemuha

There are many step in getting a bill to be passed, and it is a longer process. A bill can be introduced in either chamber of Congress by a senator or representative who sponsors it.

Once a bill is introduced, it is assigned to a committee whose members will research, discuss, and make changes to the bill. The bill is then put before that chamber to be voted on. If the bill passes one body of Congress, it goes to the other body to go through a similar process of research, discussion, changes, and voting. Once both bodies vote to accept a bill, they must work out any differences between the two versions. Then both chambers vote on the same exact bill and, if it passes, they present it to the president. The president then considers the bill. The president can approve the bill and sign it into law or veto the bill. If the president chooses to veto a bill, in most cases Congress can vote to override that veto and the bill becomes a law. But, if the president pocket vetoes a bill after Congress has adjourned, the veto cannot be overridden.

Who are the anti-federalist? Explain what they believed in. Why did they object to the proposed proposed Constitution?
gayaneshka [121]
Anti-Federalism refers to a movement that opposed the creation of a stronger U.S. federal government and which later opposed the ratification of the 1787 Constitution. The previous constitution, called the Articles of Confederation, gave state governments more authority.
They believed in reserved powers.
They thought that powers not given to federal government automatically belonged to the people, promoted Bill of Rights to protect the rights of the people, rejected the idea of the necessary and proper clause (the elastic clause), believed that the president could become too powerful without term limits and believed that the Federal government should stay out of the ecomomy,

Write a two- or three-paragraph essay comparing the system of direct democracy adopted by Athens and the system of government
Snezhnost [94]
