Computers and Technology

Ronch [10]2 years ago

Inside the case are the components that make up the computer itself, such as the RAM memories, the processor and the hard disk, all of which are directly or indirectly connected to the motherboard. In addition, the case allocates the power suplly, which is responsible for supplying power to the computer.

<h3>What is a computer case?</h3>

The case is the hardware component used to house most parts of a computer. It is inside it that components such as CPU, motherboard, SSD, video card and power supply are placed.

In addition, it is where the outputs for connections to other equipment are found, such as USB and HDMI outputs, plug for sound box and microphone and input for memory card.

The case has the important function of protecting the internal components of a computer from knocks, heat, light, moisture and dust. That's because most of the electronic components inside a computer are very sensitive and need this protection.

It is also used to connect to other hardware components, such as a monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset, through the various outputs provided on its exterior.

Here's the same compressed text that you saw on the last level, but now we also see the size of the original, uncompressed text.
SSSSS [86.1K]

Answer and Explanation:

The compression rate says by how much the text was compressed from the original as a percentage. Don't forget that the compressed version of the text is the compressed text size + dictionary size.

From the given picture:

compressed text size = 17 bytes

dictionary size = 26 bytes

compressed text size + dictionary size = 17 + 26 = 43 bytes

original test size = 58 bytes

compression rate as percentage = (43 / 58) * 100 = 74.14% ( rounded to two decimal )

Space savings = 100 - compression rate

= 100 - 74.14 = 25.86%

Is this a "good" compression rate? Why or why not?

Compression data is a heuristic problem. It’s hard to say the exact compression rate that is good or bad. If you feel satisfied by ~ 26% of compression, then it is a good compression rate.

The compression rate above frees up 26% space for you, so that you can put additional information

without losing information. In that way it is a good compression rate.

Which of the following would be considered the highest risk portfolio?
sashaice [31]

The best option is (C) A portfolio made up of 60% stocks, 30% mutual funds, and 10% Treasury bonds.

There are a lot of risks involved when investing in almost anything. You may end up paying a lot for something that may not be worthwhile and at the end of it all end up losing a lot more than you get. In this case, more than half of the money has been invested in stocks and the prices of stocks change daily. Investing in stocks may give a good return but remains high risk to involve yourself in and should be avoided as much as possible.

Resources that doesn't go back to their normal state after being used are *
Vadim26 [7]

Answer:

nonrenewable resources

Explanation:

There are primarily two types of resources: renewable and non-renewable. The main difference between the two is that <em>the renewable resources can be replenished</em> while<em> the non-renewable resources cannot be replenished.</em>

Examples of non-renewable resources:<u> coal, oil and natural gas.</u> These are called "fossil fuels." Although they only have a limited supply, most of our human activities are dependent on these fossil fuels, which threatens their depletion.

The output printed by the code is 18

<h3>The Code Analysis</h3>

The flow of the program is as follows:

  • The first line initializes a list of numbers named values
  • The second line initializes fred to 0
  • The third line is an iteration that is repeated for all numbers in the list
  • The next statement is a conditional statement that ensures that all 9's in the list are added, and saved in fred

<h3>The Code Computation</h3>

Recall that, the initial value of fred is 0, and there are 2 9's in the list.

So, the computation is:

fred=0 + 9 + 9

fred=18

This means that, the last instruction on line 10 will display 18, as the output

Hence, the output printed by the code is 18
