Some examples of attribution are-

Let's say a student fails an exam, and her parents assume that either her teacher was awful or the problems were more challenging than normal. These attributions are situational.
On a highway, Maria's automobile breaks down. If she attributes the breakdown to her lack of knowledge of automobiles, she is internalising the error.
