Answer:

L = 9.49 units

Step-by-step explanation:

From the 1st point to the 2nd, x changes by 12; from the 1st to the 2nd, y changes (increases) by 6.  These results (12 and 6) represent the leg length of a right triangle whose diagonal length we wish to calculate using the Pythagorean Theorem:

12^2 = 144 and 6^2 = 36.

Combining these results in the length of the diagonal:

L = √(144 + 36) = √180 = 13.42 units using the Pythagorean Theorem

Rounding off, we get L = 9.49 units

What are the zero(s) of the function f(x) = the quantity of 5 x squared plus 25 x, all over x?
dimulka [17.4K]
The question is asking to calculate the zeros of the function f(x)=(5x^2+2x)/x, base on that and in my further calculation, the possible answer would be x=5. I hope you are satisfied with my answer and feel free to ask for more if you have questions and further clarifications

The rain barrel shown is a right circular cylinder. If 1ft^3=7.5 gallons, how many gallons of rainwater can the barrel hold if t
valentina_108 [34]

this can be solved using the fomula of the volume of a right circular cylinder

V = pi*r^2*h

Where pi = 3.1416

R is the radius

H is the height

V = 3.1416(1.68^2) (5)

V = 44.3342 ft^3 (7.5 gallon / 1 ft^3)

<span>V = 332.5062 gallons</span>

Help me please please
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:   7

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

m∠ABC = 40°.  Since BD is an angle bisector <em>(divides the angle into two congruent angles)</em>, then m∠ABD = 20° and m∠CBD = 20°

ABD = 20   and    ABD = 3x - 1

⇒ 20 = 3x - 1

⇒ 21 = 3x

⇒  7 = x

<u>Check: </u>

CBD = 20   and    CBD = 34 - 2x

⇒ 20 = 34 - 2x

⇒ -14 = -2x

⇒  7 = x    \checkmark

it takes 32 minutes for 3 people to paint 4 walls. how many minutes does it take for 4 people to paint 7 walls?
dusya [7]

so we have 3 folks painting 4 walls, now each one of them works for 32 minutes

person 1............. 32 mins

person 2............. 32 mins

person 3............. 32 mins

for a total of 32+32+32 = <u>96 minutes worth of work</u>.  That's for 4 walls, how many minutes worth is just 1 wall?

96 ÷ 4 = 24 mins.

so to paint a wall, it takes 24 mins of work worth.

so then, to paint 7 walls, that'd be 7 * 24 = 168 minutes worth of work.

what about for 4 folks doing it?  How many times does 4 go into 168?  168 ÷ 4  = 42 mins.
