This is about an explanatory response. See how to write an explanatory response below.

What is an explanatory response?

This is simply a text explaining an idea or a concept.

The sample response is:

The specific active reading study strategy that will help students the most is underlining and highlighting key words as they read. This helps them to keep track of the key points.

For a note taking system, I would recommend writing points down in the margin of the text and indicating questions in areas that are not so clear.

It is to be noted that the ideas that are still confusing are those that the reader has not yet understood.

The action that will be taken to ensure that these active reading study skills are maintained is simply practice.

The specific active reading study strategy that I think would help students the most is note taking and this is because it would help them write new ideas.

What is an Active Reading Strategy?

This refers to the techniques that are used in order to read a text and make an effective summary.

Hence, we can see that the note-taking strategy is effective because new ideas are written down and they are not lost.

In order to maintain these skills, one needs to constantly practice.

What does Gulliver do to better see the palace of the emperor of Lilliput?
Lina20 [59]
The correct answer is He lies down on his side

This is a bit making it simple however since he had to do a bunch of things before he was able to do this. He had to clear a piece of a forest and to lie on his side in a special manner in order to see the palace and the beautiful rooms that he later described.

after jack learns the truth of his birth, he excitedly embraces Miss Prism and comments double standards between men and women.
Effectus [21]

It is clear that Wilde recognized the gender qualities of his day, and often tried to show these through the characters in his plays.

In "The Importance of Being Earnest" the interactions between the characters are often about power plays. Men in Wilde's day had greater influence than women. They made the important decisions for their families, while women worked at home, taking care of the children.

The respectable Miss Prism, a governess, clearly did not represent the norm in a society where men were admired for their intelligence and women for their beauty. As an unmarried woman in a society that centered on marriage, Miss Prism's role gave her identity and status where normally she would have had neither. But she was totally non-maternal, and horrified at the end when Jack called her "Mother." She harbored secret feelings for the parson, Dr Chasuble, but was too straight-laced to show them. The single male characters, on the other hand, had no qualms about flirting with the women they were attracted to.

Miss Prism is in some ways a comic character, but she does make a point for Wilde about the unfairness of the society of which they were a part.
