For one does not have to be ignorant and poor to find that his life is as barren as the dusty yards of our town. And I too have
Fudgin [204]
The answer is a simile. This is because similes compare two things (these things here are his life and the dusty yards) by using like or as (specifically here as).

The other ones don't make sense: nothing is being over exaggerated (hyperbole), there are no repeating consonants (alliteration), and there are no human characteristics being given to inhuman subjects (personification).

How is the claim in a persuasive text similar to or different from the main idea in an informational text?
Black_prince [1.1K]

Answer:

It's different

Explanation:

It's different because in a information text main idea there isn't any opinion on it just straight up facts but with persuasive it includes how you feel on the topic/situation...etc. To sum it up Persuasive deals with your personal feelings and Informational doesn't.

Read the passage about the life of Cesar Chavez
slava [35]

Answer:

C. a picture of farm workers

Explanation:

"A picture of farm workers" is the image that would best be used on a yearbook page  about Cesar Chavez to illustrate an award for "Most  Likely to Make History'.

This is true because Chavez made a tremendous impact in the lives of the farm workers. He used nonviolent means to draw attention to the poor working conditions of the farm workers. He went further to form the National Farm Workers  Association in 1962. He is a man who wholly dedicated his life in order to improve the lives of the farm workers. An image of farm workers in a yearbook to illustrate an award will actually depict his impact in the lives farm workers.
