The step in process analysis that immediately follows the performance evaluation phase is the: redesign process phase.

Analysis of current procedures by businesses in order to identify and implement more effective ways of doing things is known as process analysis. All activities can be broken down into three distinct phases: input, processing, and final product. The focus of process analysis is on the steps taken to take an input and turn it into a desired output. The analysis has as one of its aims the minimization of inputs like time and effort while maintaining or improving output quality.

A process analyst will watch and document a task's execution to describe in detail all the steps taken and the persons involved within it, and then he will typically create a flow chart to represent the task's input and output. Another objective of process analysis is to standardize processes so that anyone with even rudimentary familiarity with the firm and the task at hand can participate to the process successfully. It also facilitates easier training within enterprises.

Serhud [2]

Answer:

Book Value per share is $2.96 and Earnings per share is $1.78

Explanation:

The market-to-book ratio is:

Market Value = 3.31 times

Book Value

The market value of the stock is $9.80 per share. Therefore, to calculate the Book Value, we make the Book Value subject and divide the ratio by Market Value per share:

Book Value per Share = Market Value per share

                                           Market-to-Book ratio

                                     = 9.80

                                          3.31

                                     = $2.96

The PE ratio is:

    Price   = 5.51 times

Earnings

The price of the stock is $9.80 per share. Therefore, to calculate the Earnings per share, we make the Earnings subject and divide the PE ratio by Price of stock:

Earnings per share = Price

                                     PE Ratio

                               = 9.80

                                    5.51

                                = $1.78

It is debited to the warranty expenses account and credited to the warranty liability account.

Total sales for the year - $3,000,000

Warranty estimate basis - 4%

Estimated warranty - 3,000,000 * 4% = $120,000
