If u end up with the exact same function that you started with (that is, if f (−x) = f (x), so all of the signs are the same), then the function is even if u end up with the exact opposite of what you started with (that is, if f (−x) = −f (x), so all of the signs are switched) then the function is odd

Answer:

Even - because the function is symmetric across the y-axis.

Step-by-step explanation:

An even function is symmetric across the y-axis of a graph. An odd function is symmetric across the origin of a graph.

I graphed the function and you can see that is in symmetric across the y-axis. Therefore, it is even.

Help please!!!! I will really appreciate it please help
Scorpion4ik [409]

Answer:

Correct answer is x = 28°

Step-by-step explanation:

Okay we know Angle A is 2x + 2

Angle B is 90

Angle C is 180 - 148 = 32 ( straight line angle is 180)

Sum of all angles should be 180 in a triangle

which means

A + B + C = 180

2x + 2 + 32 +90 = 180

2x + 124 = 180

2x = 180-124

2x = 56

x = 56/2

x = 28

I only need to know is it 360 or 180?
Sveta_85 [38]

Answer:

So we know that all angles add up to 360. We first subtract it by 81

Now we have 279 as an answer. But since 2w + 81 cant be 360 because it doesn't add up because you have to spaces in between them. It adds up to 180 not 360

<h2><u>From your question its 180</u></h2>

A total of 8 representatives need to be chosen from a group of 40 students, of which 24 are female and 16 are male. In how many
Diano4ka-milaya [45]

Answer:

Probability = 0.0147

Step-by-step explanation:

To find this, we need to know the number of ways the representatives can be picked overall, and then the number of ways 3 females and 3 males can be the representatives. The fraction of the two will be the probability.

The total number of ways the representatives can be picked is the combination of a pool of 40 students and choosing 8 is; C(40,8) = 40!/((8!)(40 - 12)!)

= 76904685

We have gotten the number of ways the representatives can be picked.

Now let's find how many ways can the jury consist of 3 females and 3 males

For the males, there are 16 in the pool and we're picking 3:

Thus, C(16,3) = 16!/((3!)(16 - 3)!) = 560

For the females, there are 24 in the pool and we're picking 3:

Thus, C(24,3) = 24!/((3!)(24 - 3)!) = 2024

Thus, number of men and women choices = 2024 x 560 = 1133440

So; probability = 1133440/76904685 = 0.0147
