The three main stages of aerobic cellular respiration include the following:

  • Glycolysis
  • Krebs cycle
  • Oxidative phosphorylation.

This is referred to as the different metabolic reactions which takes place in cells in the presence of oxygen and converts chemical energy into Adenosine triphosphate and some waste products.

This type of respiration is divided into three main categories which can be seen above and is therefore the reason why option C was chosen.
