The incident with the rabied dog in chapter 10 and the death of Mrs. Dubose in chapter 11 relates to the theme of having moral courage when Mr. Atticus showed courage by killing the rabied dog while the children of Mrs Dubous also showed courage by being there for their mother even at the point of death.

The incident with the rabit dog and Mrs. Dubose

The story can be found in to Kill a Mockingbird. The rabied dog has been a major problem, but Atticus would not take the courage to kill the dog. Atticus was against guns and taught his children never to shoot guns that they were not needed. The sheriff prompted him on a faithful day to summon courage and shot at the dog which he did after a while thereby displaying courage.

Before and after the death of Mrs Dubous, her children showed courage. This they demonstrated by staying close to their mother in her last days even though she was ill and close to death. After her demise they weren't afraid they go home alone everyday to stay even without their mother.

Therefore, the incident with the rabied dog in chapter 10 and the death of Mrs. Dubose in chapter 11 relates to the theme of having moral courage when Mr. Atticus showed courage by killing the rabied dog while the children of Mrs. Dubous also showed courage by being there for their mother even at the point of death.
