Lateral rectus , which helps in movement of eye in the left direction and medial rectus is helps eye to move in right direction. They work together to control the horizontal eye movements.
The lateral rectus muscle is an abductor and moves the eye lateally and side and side along with the medial rectus which is an adductor. The inferior rectus has a primary role in eye movement causing the cornea and pupil to move inferiorly.
Its a flat shaped muscle and wider in its anterior part which is abductor and moves the eye laterally and side by side along the medial rectus which is an adductor.
Every month or once a month an egg will mature within the woman's ovaries. Once it reaches maturity it leaves the ovary and being push down in the fallopian tube where it will be fertilize and may meet up a sperm. This is what we call Ovulation.
