To keep high inflation from eroding the value of money, monetary authorities in the United States: control the supply of money in the economy.

What is Inflation?

Inflation exists as a general increase in the prices of goods and services in an economy. When the general price class rises, each unit of currency buys fewer goods and services; therefore, inflation corresponds to a decrease in the purchasing power of money.

The authority tasked with controlling the inflation level in the united states is the Federal Reserve or only the Fed. The Fed applies monetary policies to maintain inflation within the desired levels of around 2 percent. The Fed restrains the money and credit supply in the economy to keep inflation in check.

When inflation stands high, the prices of goods and services tend to rise, corrupting the value of a currency. In such instances, the Fed will raise interest rates to create the cost of borrowing expensive. If households and firms stand discouraged from accessing credit, the money supply in the economy is determined, which in turn obtains down the rate of inflation.

The complete question is,

To keep high inflation from eroding the value of money, monetary authorities in the United States:

A. create token money that is less than its intrinsic value.

B. make paper money legal tender for the payment of debt.

C. establish insurance on checkable deposit accounts.

D. control the supply of money in the economy.

Answer:

B) must be balanced by a statement that trading options can also result in significant losses.

Explanation:

Representatives do not trade securities by themselves, they only enter orders on behalf of their clients and following their clients' orders. That means that the clients assume the risk of losing money due to a bad investment. The clients are also the ones that benefit the most since it is their money being invested. Any statement that states the possibility of significant earnings, must also include the possibility of significant losses.

Cave Hardware's forecasted sales for April; May; June; and July are $ 170,000; $ 230,000; $ 190,000; and $ 260,000; respectively
PIT_PIT [208]

Answer:

accounts payable 128,500

Explanation:

To answer we must determine how much is the amount of purchases needed for the month of June.

It is not interesting the debt that is generated in previous months since they are paid in full, so in May the purchases of the month of May will already be canceled, so they will not impact the suppliers account.

June

Purchases= 190,000 x 0.85 + (inventory cost of sales of the month) + 80,000 (inventory at the end of the month) + 260,000 x 10% (inventory at the end of the month) = 276,500,

But according to the company's policy at the beginning of the month the inventory was equal to

80,000 + 190,000x10% (June sales) = 99,000

So the purchases necessary to meet the costs of sale and comply with the policy of the owner at closing is the same

267.500(inventory needed) - 99.000( initial existence) = 168.500

the record will be

Inventory 168,500

Cash 43,810

accounts paylable 124,690

Carol and Dave each purchase 100 shares of stock of Burgundy, Inc., a publicly owned corporation, in July for $10,000 each. Caro
tino4ka555 [31]

Answer:

See below

Explanation:

From the above information, we can deduce that the stock owned by Carol and Dave falls in value by $2,000 I.e ($10,000 - $8,000) ; it is to be noted that Carol solely has realised and recognized loss of $2,000.

Here, one of the cogent factors that determines whether a sale has taken place is if realization has been effected. Here, stock sold by Carol qualifies as a disposition while the decline in the value of stock sold by Dave does not qualify as disposition.

With regards to the foregoing, we can conclude that the federal income tax law treat the decline in the value of the stock differently for Carol and Dave.
