PART A: option b = 43nm, PART B: option d. = 0.11nm and PART C: option c. = The wavelengths of visible light are too long compared to the atomic spacing.

Given data

Wavelength λ = 0.20 nm

Angle θ = 0.8 rad

(a)wavelength of x-ray to give maximum at the same location

λ₂ = m λ

Here, m = 2 is the interference fringe order.

Substitute the values in the above equation.

λ₂ = 2 × 0.2 = 00.4 mm (approx. 43nm)

Hence, the wavelength of x-ray to give maximum at the same location is 0.4nm

(b)The crystal plane separation is equal to d

The value of θ is equal to 0.8 rad.

Convert rad into degree as follows:

0.8 rad =  = 144°/π = 45.86°

Solve for d, using equation (1) as follows:

2dsinθ = mλ

d = mλ / 2sinθ

d = (1) 0.17 / 2Sin45.86°

d = 0.17 / 1.9065

d = 0.0089 mm (approx. 0.11nm)

(c)The visible light can not be used to study the structure of proteins because of the high wavelength of the visible light.

What are the Reactants of photosynthesis ?
sergey [27]

Answer: Photosynthesis requires sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water as starting reactants (Figure 5.5). After the process is complete, photosynthesis releases oxygen and produces carbohydrate molecules, most commonly glucose. These sugar molecules contain the energy that living things need to survive.

What is a teratogen? An aspect of an individual's personality believed to be biologically based A highly specialized nerve cell
iren2701 [21]

Answer:

An environmental factors that can harm a developing embryo and fetus.

Explanation:

Teratogens are kind of agents that create disturbance to the developing fetus or embryo or may create birth defects in a child.

Teratogens may be a drug, or chemicals or radiation and material infection.

It halt pregnancy or form congenital malformation.

They are environmental factors which results in permanent structural and functional malformation that in turn leads to death of the embryo.

Some example of potential teratogens are-

Caotopril,lisinoprils,ramipri,alcohols,antibiotics such as tetracycline,doxycycline,streptomycin,wrfarin,seizure medicines,phenytoin,valptoic acid,carbamazepine,anti cancer or anti metabolite drugs like methotrexate,penicilline,depen ,anti thyroidal drugs such as thiouracil,carbimazole etc.

Which observation proves that a cell is a eukaryote? A. It has ribosomes inside the cell. B. It is surrounded by a cell membrane
LenKa [72]

Answer:

The answer is C.

Explanation:

It can't be A. because prokaryotes have ribosomes. It can't be D. because prokaryotes have a single loop of DNA and plasmids. It has to be C. because only eukaryotes have enclosed organelles in them.
