About how many total atp equivalents are generated by the complete oxidation of one molecule of acetyl coa?

Around 12 ATP equivalents are generated by the complete oxidation of one molecule of acetyl CoA.

Glycolysis begins when glucose enters, producing 2 pyruvate molecules. These pyruvates are subsequently transformed into two molecules of acetyl CoA. With each acetyl CoA that enters the citric acid cycle, three NADH (9 ATP), one FADH (2 ATP), and one GTP are produced (1 ATP). Each mole of acetyl-CoA will therefore yield 12 ATP molecules in total.

Electron transport from the citric acid cycle's energy precursors in step 3 causes oxidative phosphorylation, which phosphorylates ADP to produce ATP. In animals the majority of the energy required in biosynthesis, preserving appropriate ion balance, and mechanical work comes from oxidative phosphorylation.

What pair of statements about Blehert's and Behr's work represent an observation that was first made directly in the field and t
Nadusha1986 [10]

Answer:

The correct answer are option A. "A microbiologist with the U.S. Geological Survey grew crescent-shaped fungal spores in a lab on refrigerated plates" and option C. "A specialist with the New York State Health Department detected crescent-shaped fungal spores when examining a sample swabbed directly from a living bat with a white nose".

Explanation:

Doctor Blehert and Doctor Behr are two scientists that are studying the relationship between fungal disease and the development of the bat white nose syndrome. In order to prove that bat white nose syndrome is caused by a fungal disease Blehert and Behr first took samples in the field and later analyzed the samples in the laboratory. First, a specialist with the New York State Health Department detected crescent-shaped fungal spores when examining a sample swabbed directly from a living bat with a white nose. Later, the samples taken from the shaped fungal spores were grew in the laboratory on refrigerated plates by a microbiologist with the U.S. Geological Survey. After analyzing the samples, the scientists conclude that the bat white nose syndrome is caused by a fungal disease.

Which statement bestillustrates a biotic or an abiotic factor that is often found in a city park?
RSB [31]

Answer:

Rocks are an abiotic factor because they have never been alive.

An abiotic factor is a non-living component of the ecosystem. The abiotic factor affects the living factors of the ecosystem. The abiotic factors includes sunlight, weather conditions, temperature, water, soil, minerals and other factors.

Rock is a non-living factor of the city park ecosystem. Therefore, statement rocks are an abiotic factor because they have never been alive best illustrates  a abiotic factor that is often found in a city park.
