There are 11 that contain equal numbers of toy cars and 6 that contain equal number of helicopter toy.

<h3>Greatest common factor</h3>

John is filling in party goodie bags with toy cars and helicopters. There are 66 toy cars and 36 helicopters. Each bag must only have either toy car or helicopter - there is no mixing of toys.

Each bag must have the same number of toy cars in it.

Each bag must have the same number of toy helicopter in it.

All bags must have the same number of toys in it.

a) How many bags will contain toy cars?

b) How many bags will contain toy helicopters?

Factors of 66: 1, 2, 3, 6, 11, 22, 33, and 66.

Factors of 36: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 36

The greatest common factor of 66 and 36 it s 6

66 ÷ 6 = 11 toy cars

36 ÷ 6 = 6 helicopter toy

Therefore, there are 11 that contain equal numbers of toy cars and 6 that contain equal number of helicopter toy.

The probability that a male will be colorblind is .042. Find the probabilities that in a group of 53 men, the following are true
Dvinal [7]

Answer:

See below for answers and explanations

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Part A</u>

\displaystyle P(X=x)=\binom{n}{x}p^xq^{n-x}\\\\P(X=5)=\binom{53}{5}(0.042)^5(1-0.042)^{53-5}\\\\P(X=5)=\frac{53!}{(53-5)!*5!}(0.042)^5(0.958)^{48}\\\\P(X=5)\approx0.0478

<u>Part B</u>

P(X\leq5)=P(X=1)+P(X=2)+P(X=3)+P(X=4)+P(X=5)\\\\P(X\leq5)=\binom{53}{1}(0.042)^1(1-0.042)^{53-1}+\binom{53}{2}(0.042)^2(1-0.042)^{53-2}+\binom{53}{3}(0.042)^3(1-0.042)^{53-3}+\binom{53}{4}(0.042)^4(1-0.042)^{53-4}+\binom{53}{1}(0.042)^5(1-0.042)^{53-5}\\\\P(X\leq5)\approx0.9767

<u>Part C</u>

\displaystyle P(X\geq 1)=1-P(X=0)\\\\P(X\geq1)=1-(1-0.042)^{53}\\\\P(X\geq1)\approx1-0.1029\\\\P(X\geq1)\approx0.8971

A vehicle is moving at a constant speed travels 45 miles in 3/4 hour. The driver thinks he will be late to a meeting that is sti
Ivahew [28]

The unit rate is 60 miles per hour and the driver will reach before time with the calculated constant speed

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

Distance = d = 45 miles

Time = t = 3/4 hour

The unit rate is defined as the distance per unit time. In this case, the unit rate can also be called speed.

So,

s = \frac{d}{t}\\s = \frac{45}{\frac{3}{4}}\\s = 45 * \frac{4}{3}\\s = 60\ miles\ per\ hour

Using this unit rate we can see if the car can travel 65 miles in 1.25 hours or not

Given

Distance = d1 = 65 miles

Speed = s = 60 miles per hour

Putting the values in the formula for speed

s = \frac{d_1}{t_1}\\60 = \frac{65}{t_1}\\t_1 = \frac{65}{60}\\t_1 = 1.08\ hours

As we can see that 1.08 is less than 1.25 so the driver will reach the meeting before time if he drives on a constant speed of 60 miles per hour

Hence,

The unit rate is 60 miles per hour and the driver will reach before time with the calculated constant speed
