There are 11 that contain equal numbers of toy cars and 6 that contain equal number of helicopter toy.

Greatest common factor

John is filling in party goodie bags with toy cars and helicopters. There are 66 toy cars and 36 helicopters. Each bag must only have either toy car or helicopter - there is no mixing of toys.

Each bag must have the same number of toy cars in it.

Each bag must have the same number of toy helicopter in it.

All bags must have the same number of toys in it.

a) How many bags will contain toy cars?

b) How many bags will contain toy helicopters?

Factors of 66: 1, 2, 3, 6, 11, 22, 33, and 66.

Factors of 36: 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 18, and 36

The greatest common factor of 66 and 36 it s 6

66 ÷ 6 = 11 toy cars

36 ÷ 6 = 6 helicopter toy

Therefore, there are 11 that contain equal numbers of toy cars and 6 that contain equal number of helicopter toy.

kantabai bought 1/2 kg tea and 5 kg sugar from a shop .she paid rupess 50 as return fare for rickshaw .total expense was rupess
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

40 Rs per kg.

Step-by-step explanation:

solution

Let the rate of tea be x Rs per kg and that of sugar be y Rs per kg.

When Kantabai bought the items by going to the shop,

3/2x+5y+50=700

⇒3x+10y=1300....(I)

When Kantabai bought the items online then

2x+7y=880......(II)

Multiplying (I) with 2 and (II) with 3 we get

6x+20y=2600......(III)

6x+21y=2640.......(IV)

eq.(IV)−(III)

y=40

Putting the value of y =40 in (II)

2x+7(40)=880

⇒2x=880−280=600

⇒x=300

Thus, tea is at 300 Rs per kg and sugar is 40 Rs per kg.

IF y varies directly as x , and y is 6 when x is 72, what is the value of y when x is 8
ehidna [41]
Y=kx, k is not equal to 0
when y=6, x=72, 6=72k
                            k=1/12
so y=1/12*x
when x=8, y=1/12*8=2/3
