Answer:

See solution below

Step-by-step explanation:

The following are the rules for counter clockwise rotation of a point around the origin. Let's assume the coordinates of the original point are A(x, y). The following are results of different degrees of rotation(all counterclockwise) for the new point A'

<u>Original Point A</u>           <u> Degree of Rotation</u>       <u>Coordinates of A'</u>

A(x, y)                                   90°                              A'(-y, x)

A(x, y)                                  180°                              A'(-x, -y)

A(x, y)                                  270°                             A'(y, -x)

In these questions we are only interested in 270° counterclockwise rotation where the resultant point A' has its original x, y coordinates swapped and x is made negative. A, B represent the originals, A', B' etc the post image coordinates ie the answers

A round barbecue pit is 2 meters in diameter. What is the distance around the barbecue pit?
Lina20 [59]
<span>The length of a circle is equal to 2π * diameter/2, where π = ~3.14. In our case we have 2*(~3.14) = 6.28 meters. So the correct answer is C.</span>

How do I simplify the 6th root of 4 divided by the 3rd root of 4?
vlabodo [156]
So remember some exponentional laws

x^{m/n} = \sqrt[n]{x^m}

 \frac{x^n}{x^m}=x^{n-m} and

x^{-n}= \frac{1}{x^{n}}
so

4 to the 6th root=4^(1/6)
4 to the 3rd root=4^(1/3)

so
\frac{4^{1/6}}{4^{1/3}} =4^{(1/6)-(1/3)}=4^{(1/6)-(2/6)}=4^{-1/3}
and  4^{-1/3}= \frac{1}{4^{1/3}}= \frac{1}{ \sqrt[3]{4} }

the answer is \frac{1}{ \sqrt[3]{4} }

sophie was 28 years old when daughter Nichole was born. In how many years will Sophie be two years less than still times Nichole
Kamila [148]
It will take 6 years for that to happen.

You can find this by setting Nichole's age as x and Sophie's age as x + 28 since she will always be 28 years older.

Now we are looking for a time that Sophie's age is equal to 2 less than 6 times Nichole's age. So we can set up the below equation.

6(x) - 2 = x + 28
6x - 2 = x + 28
5x - 2 = 28
5x = 30
x = 6

This let's us know that it needs to be when Nichole is 6, which is 6 years in the future.
