Advances in technology are an external force that affects businesses.

External factors are those over which a firm or business has little control like government policy, technology, economic conditions, etc.

So, advances in technology would fall under the external factor.

Businesses need people, talented leaders, or even a mission to run their business smoothly and efficiently.

All of these factors are internal to the company,

but one of the external forces is technological advancement.

This, like government policy and social issues, is outside company boundaries. Rather, they are outside the organization and become external factors.

When we say “external force” we mean everything outside the company. This means that one of the external forces affecting companies is technological progress. So the correct answer is the first option.

Which sentence does not control exuberance?
alekssr [168]

Answer:

The matter was handled really unfairly

Explanation:

Exuberance in a statement are usually identified by the use of the words - really and completely.

These words tend to give an expression of making excess effort in doing something. So exuberance is not controlled.

Overuse of intensifiers in a sentence shows exuberance and this is not ideal in business communication.

Various intensifiers include - very, definitely, really, actually, totally, extremely, and completely.

Haver Company currently produces component RX5 for its sole product. The current cost per unit to manufacture the required 50,00
mafiozo [28]

Answer:

It is cheaper to buy the product than producing it.

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

The current cost per unit to manufacture the required 50,000 units of RX5 follows. Direct materials $ 5.00 Direct labor 8.00 Overhead 9.00 Total costs per unit $ 22.00 Direct materials and direct labor are 100% variable. The Overhead is 80% fixed. An outside supplier has offered to supply the 50,000 units of RX5 for $18.00 per unit.

First, we need to calculate the total cost of making the product:

The total cost of producing 50,000 units:

Direct material= 50,000*5= 250,000

Direct labor= 50,000*8= 400,000

Total overhead= 50,000*9= 450,000

Total cost= 1,100,000

Total cost of purchasing:

Buying= 50,000*18= 900,000

Unavoidable overhead= 50,000*(9*0.2)= 90,000

Total cost= 990,000

It is cheaper to buy the product than producing it.

On January 1, a company purchased equipment that cost $10,000. The company has not yet recorded depreciation, which is estimated
finlep [7]

Answer:

The adjusting entry is:

Debit Depreciation Expense - Equipment $1,800

Credit Accumulated Depreciation - Equipment $1,800

To record depreciation expense.

Explanation:

The adjusting journal entry records the depreciation expense for the year and adds the expense to the accumulated depreciation account.  The accumulated depreciation account is a contra account to the Equipment account.  The purpose that this contra account serves is to keep the Equipment account at its cost value while the gradual write-off of its value is reflected in an opposite account.
