A pattern of infant-caregiver attachment in which children explore confidently and return to the parent or caregiver for reassurance is called secure attachment.

Secure attachment is the healthiest shape of attachment. It describes an attachment wherein a toddler feels comforted by using the presence of their caregiver. Securely connected youngsters feel covered and that they have got a person to depend on.

Secure attachment is classed via youngsters who show some misery whilst their caregiver leaves, however, are able to compose themselves quickly when the caregiver returns. Children with relaxed attachment senses are blanketed by their caregivers, and they realize that they could rely on them to go back.
