The Muslim world helped start the Renaissance by preserving the ancient classical texts.

The Renaissance refers to a period in European history which marks the transition from the Medieval period to the modern age, between the 15th and 16th centuries. It represented the cultural and artistic movement to renew the achievements of classical antiquity. It led to great social upheavals and transformation in ideas and outlook.

The Muslim world played an important role in this as they had translated and preserved the classical texts which provided the grounds for Renaissance. They had also developed the scientific method, and and were pioneers in the modern university system, medical systems, and improved agricultural practices.

Anni [7]
Babylonia was a state in ancient Mesopotamia. The city of Babylon, whose ruins are located in present-day Iraq, was founded more than 4,000 years ago as a small port town on the Euphrates River. It grew into one of the largest cities of the ancient world under the rule of Hammurabi. Several centuries later, a new line of kings established a Neo-Babylonian Empire that spanned from the Persian Gulf to the Mediterranean Sea. During this period, Babylon became a city of beautiful and lavish buildings. Biblical and archaeological evidence point toward the forced exile of thousands of Jews to Babylon around this time.
