Provide adequate calories and any other support necessary to promote the growth of your child. Sign of inadequate growth from inability to obtain or use calories required for growth.

Child whose having organic failure to thrive, additional therapy may be needed to treat the underlying medical condition.Failure to thrive is defined as decelerated or arrested physical growth , height and weight measurement fall below the 3rd and 5th percentile and is associated with abnormal growth and development.

There are some symptoms of failure to thrive such as height, weight and circumference do not match standard growth charts.Weight is lower than 3rd percentile of standard growth chart of 20% below the ideal weight.
