The sentence that uses the indicative mood is "We were winning the game until the third quarter," as expressed in option C and explained below.

What is the indicative mood?

The indicative mood refers to the way a verb is used when we want to state facts. In other words, the indicative mood expresses something real rather than hypothetical or conditional.

Let's take a look at each option to find the correct answer:

 • Option A is about a hypothetical situation. Therefore, it is incorrect.
 • Option B expresses a command, which means it uses the imperative mood. It is also incorrect.
 • Option C is the correct answer. It is a fact that the team was winning the game.
 • Option D, just like option A, expresses a hypothetical situation. Incorrect.

With the information above in mind, we can conclude that the answer provided above is correct.

This character does not fulfill the characteristics of a tragic hero. He is not good to his people and he does not save anybody. Instead he treats them unkindly and flees his kingdom. Even though his story is tragic, I would not consider him a tragic hero.

short critique using reader response approach in a poem 'Invictus' by William Ernest Henley.. please help I'll mark you as the b
Nitella [24]

Answer and Explanation:

"Invictus" is a poem that portrays Ernest Henley's emotional control and resistance.

Henley wrote it when he was suffering from bone tuberculosis, a very serious and painful illness that could cause him to die in the blink of an eye, or torture him over time. When reading the poem, we can see how Henley was suffering, but he is very courageous and ready to face the disease with the greatest dignity possible, as he believed that the disease was not greater than him. We can see this through the line "My head is bloody, but unbowed."
