Glucose is reabsorbed by the kidneys in the proximal convoluted tubules.

How is the kidney helpful in glucose retention by the body?

Glucose is the main fuel that cells require to produce energy.

The kidneys contribute to glucose retention in the body by filtering and reabsorbing glucose. In the kidneys, as much glucose is retrieved as possible by the filtration of the urine to ensure that it is virtually glucose-free.

Glucose is reabsorbed by the kidneys in the proximal convoluted tubules.

In the proximal convoluted tubule, two sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter (SGLT) proteins transport glucose into the blood from the urine.

In conclusion, the kidneys help retain glucose in the body by filtering and reabsorbing it from urine.

a yellow female labrador retriever was mated with a brown male. half of the puppies were brown, and half were yellow. explain ho
ASHA 777 [7]

Answer:

There are two alleles, the recessive yellow allele and the dominant brown allele. The female is hom0zygous recessive while the male is heterozygous, this means that half of their children will be hom0zygous recessive and be yellow. The other half will be brown and heterozygous, meaning they have a yellow allele and a brown allele. If the female mated with a hom0zygous dominant male, then all of their offspring will end up being heterozygous and brown.

Does the ability to choose a mate improve offspring fitness in fruit flies? researchers have studied this by taking female fruit
lana [24]
The ability to choose a mate does improve offspring fitness in fruit flies. The choice made by the female fruit fly is based on a recognition pattern of the male's ability to highlight its potency and "genes". As a conclusion, the better the male's genes, the better the offspring's fitness.

if a child had O type blood and the mother had B type blood and the father had A type blood, could a blood test eliminate the fa
vladimir2022 [97]

Answer:

No, a blood test could not eliminate the father.

Explanation:

The mother had B type blood, so the possible genotypes are BB and BI. The father had A type blood, so the possible genotypes are AA and AI. The child had O type blood, so the only possible genotype is II. If the mother has the genotype BI and the father has the genotype AI, then there is a 25% chance the child will have the blood type O, or II (I used a punnet square with the genotypes BI and AI to solve this.)
