Glucose is reabsorbed by the kidneys in the proximal convoluted tubules.

How is the kidney helpful in glucose retention by the body?

Glucose is the main fuel that cells require to produce energy.

The kidneys contribute to glucose retention in the body by filtering and reabsorbing glucose. In the kidneys, as much glucose is retrieved as possible by the filtration of the urine to ensure that it is virtually glucose-free.

Glucose is reabsorbed by the kidneys in the proximal convoluted tubules.

In the proximal convoluted tubule, two sodium-dependent glucose cotransporter (SGLT) proteins transport glucose into the blood from the urine.

In conclusion, the kidneys help retain glucose in the body by filtering and reabsorbing it from urine.

During ______, the gravitational forces of the sun and moon pull on the Earth from the same direction, or opposite dire
STatiana [176]

Answer:

Spring Tides.

Explanation:

Tides can be defined as the rise and fall of water level in water bodies such as lakes and oceans due to the gravitational force of attraction exerted by the moon on earth. The side closest to the moon creates a bulge of water known as high tide. Low tides are generally experienced when a sea level is not within the bulge.

Generally, the gravitational pull of the Moon cause visible changes on planet Earth's surface.

This ultimately implies that, the pull of the Moon's gravity causes high and low tides on planet Earth's surface.

The various types of ocean tides based on the position of the Earth, Moon and the Sun are;

I. Neap tides.

II. Spring tides.

III. Low tide.

IV. High tide.

V. Brown tide.

VI. Rip tide.

VII. Red tide.

Using technology, scientists are now able to use genetic information to classify new species. What is the likely impact of this
DanielleElmas [232]

The answer is not Organisms would be classified based only on physical characteristics!!

I strongly feel that it would be....

--the existing classification system may change to accommodate the new information.--

Reason: Some things would not just be classified by appearance. Rather, this would add more possibilities to classification. We know that plants and dogs look nothing alike yet they are still related through the Domain (Eukarya).

I also took this test and relied on the other answer, sadly, it was incorrect.

I hope i could help! Let me know if this is incorrect. ~ Ninja Cat :D
