If the book asks what kind of change is happening as its "property" then it's a chemical change because the sunlight is being converted into chemicals that keep the tree alive and thriving.
This would be called a farce play, which is "a comedy that aims at entertaining the audience through situations that are highly exaggerated." (by definition)
