Both trains will leave the station together again at 7:12 am if both of them left the station together at 6:30 am.

What is LCM?

 • The lowest integer that is a multiple of two or more numbers is known as the LCM.
 • For instance, the LCM of 4 and 6 is 12, and the LCM of 10 and 15 is 30.
 • There are numerous ways for determining the least common multiples, just as there are for computing the greatest common divisors.
 • One approach is to divide both numbers by their primes.

To find at what time will both trains leave the station together again if both of them left the station together at 6:30 am:

 • If a train to New York City departs every 7 minutes and another to Boston departs every 6 minutes,
 • The two trains then depart together after a time equal to the LCM of their individual intervals
 • LCM (7,6) = 42
 • As a result, if they begin at the same time, they will depart at the same time every 42 minutes.
 • If both trains left the station at 6.30 a.m., they will leave together again 42 minutes later, at 7.12 am.

Therefore, both trains will leave the station together again at 7:12 am if both of them left the station together at 6:30 am.

How do you factor the expression
20k+50
Aliun [14]
Answer is 10(2k+5)

-----------------------------------

Work Shown:

20k+50 = 10*2k + 10*5
20k+50 = 10(2k+5)

Note how we can distribute the 10 back in to check our work
10(2k+5) = 10(2k)+10(5) = 20k+50
so that confirms we have the right answer

Another thing to notice is that 10 is the largest factor that we can pull out of 20k and 50. The value 10 is the GCF (greatest common factor) of 20 and 50.

Fraction of a minute is 42 seconds
Zarrin [17]
Here is the answer. A minute consists of 60 seconds. Therefore, we can put this in a fraction form as 42/60. Since these are still large numbers, we would simplify this fraction so the answer would be 7/10. Hope this is the answer that you are looking for. Have a great day ahead!

Let f(x)=-4x+7 and g(x)=10x-6. Find f(g(x))
olga55 [171]
f(x) = -4x+7 \\ g(x) = 10x-6

To find f(g(x)), insert the equation of g(x) into the x value for f(x)

f(g(x)) = -4(10x-6)+7 \\ f(g(x)) = -40x + 24 +7 \\ f(g(x)) = -40x + 31
