Find the greates common factor between the two numbers being added which is 10, and divide them. Next put the two quotients in separate parentheses and multiply each one by 10 separatelyas shown:

10(2k) + 10(5)

Work Shown:

20k+50 = 10*2k + 10*5
20k+50 = 10(2k+5)

Note how we can distribute the 10 back in to check our work
10(2k+5) = 10(2k)+10(5) = 20k+50
so that confirms we have the right answer

Another thing to notice is that 10 is the largest factor that we can pull out of 20k and 50. The value 10 is the GCF (greatest common factor) of 20 and 50.

Let $v_0$ be the unit vector in the direction parallel to the plane and let $F_1$ be the component of F in the direction of v_0 and F_2 be the component normal to v_0.

Since, |v_0| = 1,

$(v_0)_x=\cos 60^\circ= \frac{1}{2}$

From figure,

|F_2 | = |F| \sin 30^\circ = 10 \times \frac{1}{2} = 5

∴  F_2 = 5v_1 = 5 \left< \frac{\sqrt3}{2}, - \frac{1}{2} \right>

                   $=\left$

Therefore,

$F_1+F_2 = \left< -\frac{5\sqrt3}{2}, -\frac{15}{2} \right> + \left< \frac{5 \sqrt3}{2}, -\frac{5}{2} \right>$
